GEAR DROP

NEW FOR 2018 - There will be TWO (2) Gear Drops:

T2 - For those wanting gear waiting for them at T2 - You will place your gear (running shoes, if you have clip-in bike shoes, or a packet of Gu (for one more burst of energy on the run) that you want to have waiting for you at T2 (transition from bike to run) in the FedEx gear drop truck during bike drop off (Saturday, May 19, from 3:00-7:00 p.m.) or race morning from 7:00-8:30 a.m.

FINISH LINE - For those thinking you might want a warm coat or extra energy bar at the finish line there will also be a gear drop at Pena Park.  A FedEx gear drop truck (different than the one going to T2) will be available during bike drop off (Saturday May 19th from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.) or race morning from 7:00-8:30 a.m.

Gear bag
Every racer should use the gear bags provide for them at bib pick up. There is a perfect spot on the bag for you to write your name and bib number as well as stickers to place on the bags. The intent is to make it easier for volunteers at T2 to quickly locate your gear bag. They will be able to find racer information in the exact same spot on every single bag. We’ll even provide a Sharpie at the FedEx gear drop truck if you forget to write your name and bib number on the bag before you leave the house. The same goes for your gear bag at the finish line.

You may not take your gear to T2 or the finish line yourself the morning of the race.

Vehicle traffic will not be allowed at T2 or the finish line the morning of and during the race. This is for safety purposes; the area has no parking and no space to turn around.
